A user with a Teepee account and an assigned User Role can configure their notification preferences in the Notifications tab of their profile.
They can specify:

  • which types of notifications they want to receive,

  • how often they want to receive them,

  • and from which units they wish to get these alerts.

The user can select only those units (including their sub-units) where they have one or more assigned User Roles.

Notification types

  • Creation of a new unit

  • Assignment of a role within a unit

  • Withdrawal of consent by the user

  • Registration link expired

  • New request in a unit – registration via the public registration link

  • New approval request – creation of a record (Program, Education, Award) that requires approval

Email delivery frequency per type

  • Never (default option)

  • Always – the notification is sent immediately when the change occurs.
This frequency is not available for the “Registration link expired” notification.

  • Daily – at a predefined time (currently 03:00 the next day), a digest email is sent with a list of changes from the previous day.

  • Weekly – at a predefined time (currently every Monday at 03:00; summarizing the previous Monday–Sunday), a digest email is sent with a list of changes.

ℹ️ Note: The times shown (03:00, Monday 03:00) reflect the current settings and may change in the future.

Default notification behavior:
Notifications are disabled by default. Users should enable them as needed in their profile.

Auto-enable by User Role:
In Administration → Settings → Notifications, you can configure a notification type to auto-enable for users who have a specific User Role.

  • When a user is assigned a new role or their existing assigned role is edited, the corresponding notification is automatically turned ON, and its frequency is preset to “Daily.”

  • If the user turns this notification OFF and is later assigned another role, the notification will be enabled again (with the “Daily” frequency).

⚠️ Warning: Auto-enable applies only to notification types explicitly configured as “Turn-on automatically for a user with a role” in Administration → Settings → Notifications.
